The Science Museum's basic opening hours are from 10am to 6pm (ticket sales close at 5:30pm). It is closed on Thursdays (except public holidays) and Lunar New Year's Eve. For the opening hours of the Science Museum Restaurant, please refer to the restaurant’s notice. Please do not eat or drink in places other than the Science Museum restaurant. Unless otherwise approved, visitors must hold a valid admission ticket to enter admission ticket areas. For operational exhibits, please follow the instructions of the exhibits or the Science Museum staff to operate and use them. Please do not use the emergency exits of the Science Museum except in case of accidents or emergencies. In case of emergency or accident, please follow the instructions of museum staff to leave the Science Museum. No illegal activity are allowed in the museum, otherwise the police will be called. Smoking is strictly prohibited in all areas of the Science Museum. Otherwise, you will be asked to leave. Those who are not Clothes & Accessories properly or bring pets or dangerous items are not allowed to enter the museum. If any visitor behaves abnormally or causes nuisance to others, museum staff have the right to direct the relevant person to leave the museum. Please keep the venue clean and tidy. Please do not bring large objects or luggage into the Exhibition Centre or Planetarium. Such objects can be stored at the Science Museum's cloakroom. Please take good care of your personal belongings. The Science Museum and its staff are not responsible for any damage. Children under 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult to use the facilities of the Science Museum. Please do not run, chase or climb on facilities in the venue. Please take good care of the Science Museum's property and do not deface or damage any equipment. The Science Museum reserves the right to demand compensation for any damage to public property plus an additional 10% administrative fee. Please do not move the exhibits or equipment of the Science Museum to other locations without permission. If visitors encounter any discomfort, accident or emergency, please inform the Science Museum staff immediately for assistance. Please follow the instructions and advice of Science Museum staff. Visitors who wish to enter non-public areas must first register at the Guard Room, receive a visitor badge and wear it on their chest. They may enter the relevant areas under the guidance of museum staff. Vehicles not owned by Science Museum staff or vehicles without permission are not allowed to park in the Science Museum’s dedicated parking lot. Except with written permission, no promotional activity or the distribution or posting of leaflets or posters are allowed in the Science Museum. Please follow the staff’s instructions for all filming activity. Commercial filming is not allowed without the museum’s permission. If Tropical Cyclone Signal No. 3 or above is hoisted, the Science Museum has the right to close the venue according to the actual situation and for safety reasons. The Science Museum reserves the right to close the venue in emergency situations or for safety or other reasons. Closed-circuit televisions have been installed throughout the Science Museum for 24-hour recording. Please observe and pay attention to the above matters. Otherwise, the Science Museum staff have the right to refuse visitors entry to the Science Museum or any location within the Museum.
